Happy Snow Day!

It was a magical morning for our youngest Saint Kentigern Students Friday, August 2^nd, as tonnes of ‘snow’ was dropped into the Preschool outdoor area for Snow Day. Smiles were all around as the students and staff wasted no time getting stuck in and enjoying the icy novelty; some experiencing the ‘white stuff’ for the first time!

The annual event is part of the Preschool’s ‘Seasons’ unit which looks at the topics of winter and snow. It is a much anticipated event on the calendar for everyone and sees the sandpit transform into a winter wonderland.

From snowballs to snow angels and snowmen, wrapped in their winter woollies, puffer jackets and gumboots, the students thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  The morning ended with the many gloved hands throwing ‘snow’ into the air, sharing many laughs with their teachers, parents and friends. What a great morning!
