Mark Conelly - Chairman

Mark joined the Trust Board in 2016. He is a member of the Finance Audit and Investment , Project Control, Governance and Health and Safety Committees of the Trust Board. Elected as Chair of the Trust Board in 2020, and the Chair of the Saint Kentigern Foundation in 2023, he is an Alumni and has served terms as President of the Saint Kentigern Alumni Association and Chair of Boys' School Parents and Friends. He is currently an Independent Director of various Commercial entities in the health and social services sectors, including recently being appointed Chair of Presbyterian Support Northern. Mark is the Chief Financial Officer for Mitre 10 (NZ) Limited, is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and NZ (FCA) and is a chartered member of the NZ Institute of Directors (CMInstD). 

Haydn Wong

Haydn Wong joined the Trust Board in February 2020. He is a Saint Kentigern past parent with three children having attended the College and Primary Schools. He is Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, Fletcher Building, and among other activities, is currently Chair of Black Grace Trust – the leading Pasifika Dance Company. He was brought up in Hawkes Bay with long family connections to the Presbyterian Church there. Haydn was a prefect and Dux of Hastings High School and played in his school’s First XV, played provincial Rugby, and represented NZ Universities in Rugby.

Dr Catherine Harri

Catherine has a diverse background in science, management consulting, and project management. Earning her PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Auckland, Catherine has a passion for knowledge and learning. Her career spans management consulting, project management, quality assurance, brand development, public health and safety, banking, FMCG, and education. Catherine's family has a long history with Saint Kentigern, including her father, Dr Bruce Goodfellow, who served on the board. Her two children currently attend the Boys' and Girls' schools. Catherine is active in her local Presbyterian Church, the New Zealand Christians in Science and the Parents in Prayer group. 

Andrew Morgan

Andrew is an Alumni, along with his two brothers, and held a nine-year term as President of the Alumni Association. During this term, he developed an extensive personal network within the Alumni membership in New Zealand and overseas. The Trust Board noted that Andrew has been a tireless, loyal supporter of Saint Kentigern ever since his graduation. Andrew attended Lincoln University and has been in the banking and finance industry for over 30 years. He operates his own finance company specialising in financing extensive property development and investment transactions via New Zealand and Australian funding sources. 

Sarah Powrie

Sarah is Chairperson of the Ōrākei Local Board, bringing experience in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, marketing, and events, alongside financial capability developed through co-owning a manufacturing business.

Her connection to Saint Kentigern spans generations. Her forebear Polly Macky helped establish our first two campuses, and her father Warwick Macky served as Chair of the school. Her brother Peter was a foundation pupil, her son Tom attended the Boys’ School, and her grandsons Fred and Max begin next year.

Louise von Sierakowski

Louise is Brand, Marketing and Communications Lead at Southern Cross Healthcare. Her career spans healthcare, not-for-profit, consumer and retail sectors, including senior leadership roles L'Oréal NZ and Blind Low Vision NZ. 

Louise is on the Board of Crest Hospital, a Southern Cross Healthcare partnership in Palmerston North. She is a member of the Institute of Directors and holds an MBA from Auckland University of Technology. She attended Corran School prior to its 2009 merger with the Saint Kentigern Trust Board, giving her a longstanding connection to the wider Saint Kentigern community.

Andrew Simpson

Andrew is a business owner, technology investor, and board advisor specialising in digital transformation, customer experience, and future-ready business models. He is Managing Partner at Tilt, with nearly two decades of experience helping New Zealand businesses grow in the digital age.

He also serves on the board of the Auckland Philharmonia and has significant fundraising experience across capital projects and the arts. Andrew has two children at the Boys’ School, where he is actively involved in the Parents & Friends.

Walter Chieng

Walter Chieng

With over 35 years of dedicated service to Saint Kentigern, Walter Chieng now leads the Saint Kentigern Foundation. Beginning his journey in 1988 as a teacher of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics, and later advancing as Director of ICT, Walter has built lasting relationships throughout the community - from students and alumni to staff and families. 

As Director of the Foundation, Walter is focused on strengthening alumni connections and nurturing community engagement. Under his leadership, the Foundation is committed to delivering Saint Kentigern’s vision by supporting educational excellence, fostering leadership, and encouraging service to others, all within a Christian framework.
