College Footballers, Mathew Ridenton, Nick Forrester and Michael Den Heijer have been confirmed in the 21 strong New Zealand Young All White squad for the FIFA U17 World Cup in UAE later this month.

Team positions have been announced for the Year 13 students, with Ridenton and Den Heijer playing midfield and Forrester in defense.

The boys depart for Dubai on 8 October for their first game against Uruguay on 17 October in Ras Al-Khaimah, where they will also play Italy three days later, before travelling to the capital Abu Dhabi to contest the Ivory Coast.

The FIFA U17 World Cup runs from 17 October to 8 November and features six pools of four teams, with the top two from each group along with the four best third place teams qualifying for the Round of 16.
