Saint Kentigern College is seeking a dynamic, student-centred, and passionate Head of Hockey (Contractor) to play a leading role in our vibrant and professional Sports Development Programme. We are building a dedicated team of specialist coaches and educators to support and grow this programme. This engagement represents a new chapter for Hockey at Saint Kentigern – one focused on participation, performance, and the holistic development of every player.
We are looking for a Hockey specialist with the vision and expertise to elevate the programme and secure its future. The successful applicant will lead the direction of both our Premier Girls and development teams, operating with a growth mindset and professional approach to achieving success across all levels. The Head of Hockey will seek innovative ways to promote inclusion, integrate learning within the curriculum, and inspire students through a genuine love of the game, fostering a lifelong connection to Hockey.

Engagement Details:
- Contractor engagement – hours and remuneration by mutual agreement
- This is a contractor engagement reflecting the specialist nature of the role and the seasonal structure of the College’s Hockey programme
- Responsible for leading the Premier Girls team and the Hockey Programme across Years 7–13
- Deliver the Year 11 Hockey Development class (skills, analysis, mental skills)
- Collaborate with the Sports Department and Strength & Conditioning teams
- Access to outstanding facilities and a supportive College sports environment
- Demonstrated experience leading or coaching within Hockey development programmes
- Proven ability to inspire and engage students across a range of abilities
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset
