Year 6 Camp Returns to Familiar Ground

19 May 2026

When it was time to head off on their camp, our Year 6 girls hide their excitement from no one. Returning to Shakespeare Regional Park for an extended camp experience, the girls arrived with confidence and excitement, ready to take on new challenges and make the most of an extra night away.

Throughout the camp, students embraced a full programme of activities designed to teach new skills and a growth mindset. Coasteering pushed courage, with girls jumping from rocks into the sea, while raft-building required creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving as they designed and tested their own creations. Additional challenges included rock climbing, archery, ocean swimming, kayaking, and team-based tasks that encouraged leadership and collaboration.

Evenings brought time to unwind and connect, with sunset walks, creative challenges, and the ever-popular Lip Sync Battle with the Year 5 group. Together, they filled the lodge with energy and laughter.

As the week drew to a close, it was clear how much the girls had grown. Confidence strengthened, friendships deepened, and a strong sense of achievement accompanied them home.
