Wishart, Chalmers share the win at Girls’ School House relays

23 October 2025

The banks surrounding the Shore Road pool were filled with colour, music, dance-offs, and cheering as House representatives took to the water for one of the term’s most anticipated events, House Swimming Relays.

This year’s competition saw tight races across the board, with each house fielding A and B teams in the Senior year groups. Younger swimmers also showed impressive determination, completing their lap of the pool. From the first whistle, Wishart appeared to be the house to beat, powering through the early events with confidence. But Chalmers, steady and consistent throughout the morning, chipped away at the scores, quietly closing the gap.

When the final results were tallied, the scoreboard told a surprising story. Wishart and Chalmers finished in a tie for first place, with Hamilton claiming second and Cargill close behind in third.

The relays captured the friendly competition that inspires excellence and the House spirit that defines the Girls’ School community. A fitting finale to another season of swimming success.
