Preschool Families Gather for a Summer Picnic Afternoon
A warm Friday afternoon in March and open grounds offered plenty a reason for our Preschool families to gather for the annual picnic, settling in for a relaxed time together.
Rugs stretched across the grass as families arrived, with younger students joined by siblings from the Boys’ School and Girls’ Schools. The afternoon offered a valuable opportunity for parents and grandparents to connect, while children moved freely between games and activities dotted across the grounds. Moments like these continue to strengthen the relationships that carry families through their years at school.
The space quickly filled with activity. A range of outdoor games invited families to play together, creating a lively and interactive atmosphere.
Face painting proved as popular as ever, with children emerging from the art atelier as their favourite characters, many of the girls opting for fairies, unicorns, and princesses.
Mr Whippy was another highlight, delivering the perfect dose of sugar-fuelled excitement for our preschoolers, while parents made the most of a moment to savour their treat in the afternoon sun.
A new addition this year, the photobooth, quickly became a favourite. Families stepped in together to capture the moment, leaving with printed photo strips as a small keepsake for the fridge.
It was an afternoon defined by simple pleasures: time outdoors, space to play, and the chance to be together. A fitting way to begin the year, grounded in connection.
