Impressive 2022 International Baccalaureate Results

January 10, 2023 at 3:10 PM

Following the release of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma examination results last week, we are pleased to share that more than a third of our 2022 IB cohort achieved outstanding results of 40 points and above. This came on the back of having the largest cohort from the College undertaking the IB examination in November 2022.

These students will be recognised at the Top Scholars Award Ceremony next month in Christchurch, which acknowledges students from across New Zealand who scored at least 40 points from a maximum of 45 points in their final examination. This feat is only achieved by approximately 120 students in New Zealand and represent the top 10% of IB students worldwide based on historical data.

Of the 20 students who scored 40 points and above, Yixiong Hao and Ethan Fung recorded a phenomenal 44 points each.

In 2022, our College had 55 students registered to sit the IB Diploma November examinations, achieving an overall average diploma score of 37. This compares favourably with the world average of 30.91 points. We maintained a pass rate of 100%.

Our College’s continuous focus on academic excellence and student’s commitment to the highest academic standards have resulted in another solid set of examination results. Please join us in congratulating our 2022 IB cohort on their outstanding achievement. We wish them well as they begin their tertiary studies both in New Zealand and abroad.
