College Rider U15 NISS Mountain Bike Champion

Competing in his first North Island Secondary Schools Mountain Bike Championship, College student, Joshua Oxenham has won the overall title of U15 North Island Champion for 2014!

Held at Hunua Regional Park over the weekend, the event saw 193 riders from 29 schools come together from all over the North Island to compete, including one school from the South Island.

The Year 9 student also rode to 1st place victory in the U15 Downhill, beating two nationally ranked riders in a field of 135, and won the U15 Tiebreaker event. In the Cross Country event, Joshua came in at a credible 5th place out of 148 riders.
