Celebrating Our Year 12 Graduates

20 October 2026

While the majority of our Year 12 cohort submit their subject selections for one final year of school, but a handful already have their careers in sight. Among the chosen vocations are fine arts, mechanics and cosmetology. These students, have made the brave decision to step out of their comfort zone and pursue something they love.

Our Year 12 graduates were celebrated in an intimate chapel service on 20 October. Senior leaders, Heads of Houses, tutors, friends and family attended, and refreshments in the staff room followed.

Yolanda Z. is taking her creativity into tertiary study and has applied for Discretionary Entrance to the University of Auckland to study Fine Arts.

Two graduates built their plans through the Gateway programme. Brooke P. excelled in her Gateway course in Uniformed Services through NZSE, and her dedication earned her the Gateway Special Award for participation and commitment to the programme. Madison G. explored Cosmetology through Gateway, and the experience gave her a clear direction. She continues her journey with Elite in 2027.

Two others are headed into the mechanical industry. Felix H. turned his experience in the Gateway mechanics programme into a career and began an apprenticeship with Winger Motors in Term 3. Alfie S. is relocating to Matakana to secure an apprenticeship of his own.

Congratulations to all our graduates on their hard work, resilience and achievements. We wish them well in what comes next.
