Project Update 23
Year 12 and 13 Building: Construction Progress Update
Since our last update in June, progress on the new Year 12 and 13 building on our Pakuranga Campus continues to advance in line with the programme. We are now 10 months into the project and remain on track for construction completion by the end of November 2026.
The building is being built in three phases, commencing with the West wing, continuing with the central curved section followed by the South facing (Chapel lawn) wing. Construction activities follow these phases, initially the structural steelwork framing, followed by the structural floors and then the sections are being shrink wrapped prior to timber framing and internal works commencing on each phase.
At the Northern end, the structure is now shrink wrapped and external and internal framing has commenced. In the central curved section, the structure and floor slabs are expected to be complete by the end of September, allowing shrink wrap installation and intumescent paint application to follow, before framing begins. On the East wing, structural steel is targeted for completion soon with floor slabs to follow.
By the end of September, the full footprint of the building will be clearly defined. Click the image to watch a short video update on the latest stage of construction. For enquiries, contact us at masterplan@saintkentigern.com.
