The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Social Sciences teacher to join our collaborative and forward-thinking team, commencing Term 3, 2026. Please state specialist subjects in your application.
This position sits within the Humanities Faculty and reports to the Head of Department.

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of courses across your specialist area and related disciplines
  • Foster student engagement, participation, and wellbeing in a safe, inclusive classroom
  • Actively participate in the wider life of the College, including co-curricular and House Tutor responsibilities
About You
You will be a teacher who demonstrates:
  • Current New Zealand teacher registration and practising certificate
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in the Social Sciences.
  • Proven experience teaching Year 9 to 10 Social Studies and a senior Social Science subject at Years 11 to 13.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach
  • A commitment to continuous professional growth and wellbeing
