We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Teacher of Outdoor Education to join our motivated and collegial faculty in a full-time, fixed-term position commencing in Term 4 2026.
This role will have a strong Outdoor Education focus, while also contributing to Physical Education teaching where required. There may also be an opportunity for the successful candidate to undertake an Acting Head of Outdoor Education responsibility, subject to operational requirements.

- deliver engaging Outdoor Education programmes that promote challenge, resilience, leadership and teamwork
- contribute to Physical Education teaching across the secondary school where required
- support camps and outdoor pursuits activities
- contribute positively to the wider co-curricular life of the College
- work collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced faculty
The ideal candidate will:
- hold a relevant teaching qualification and be eligible for teacher registration in New Zealand
- have experience or strong capability in Outdoor Education programmes and activitiesbring energy, initiative and strong relationship skills to the role
- be organised, practical and safety-conscious in outdoor environments
- demonstrate alignment with the College’s values and commitment to holistic education
- be willing to contribute to the wider life of the College
