Saint Kentigern College invites applications from an experienced, dynamic, and student-centred Head of Netball (Contractor) to provide leadership and strategic direction across our Netball programme.
This engagement suits a Netball specialist with the vision, expertise, and professionalism to lead the development of our Premier Girls team while supporting the holistic growth of all Netball players from Years 7–13. The role plays a key leadership function within a well-resourced and collaborative Sport Department, working closely with coaching and athletic development staff.
The successful person will bring a growth mindset, strong programme leadership capability, and a commitment to fostering positive team culture, inclusion, and a lifelong love of Netball.
About the Opportunity
This is an independent contractor arrangement for a fixed term of 12 months, with hours and scope of work agreed by arrangement.
The engagement includes responsibility to:
- Provide leadership, direction, and oversight of the Netball programme for students in Years 7–13
- Lead and coach the Premier Girls Netball team
- Direct, support, and mentor coaches across all Netball teams
- Deliver individualised player and coach feedback to support skill development, game understanding, and performance growth
- Instruct the timetabled Year 9 and 10 Netball Development classes, with a focus on individual skill development, mental skills, game IQ, and performance analysis
- Work collaboratively with Athletic Development staff to support holistic athlete development
- Promote inclusive participation and integration with curriculum-based learning where appropriate
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in Netball development programmes, including leadership of high-performance or representative teams
- A strong focus on positive team culture, skill acquisition, and game analysis, supported by high-quality, individualised feedback
- Proven ability to engage, inspire, and motivate students across a wide range of ages and abilities
- Excellent organisational capability, with a strong track record of professionalism, reliability, and effective communication
- Alignment with, and commitment to upholding, the values and ethos of Saint Kentigern College, including student wellbeing and safeguarding
