Food Technology/Barista Technician

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on individual to join our Food Technology team. This position is for 20 hours per week, 12pm to 4pm Monday to Friday, during term-time. Commencement date is 27 January 2026). The successful applicant will work as an integral part of the learning area, providing support to teaching staff and students in both classroom and café settings.
  
Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising and assisting students in Barista training (training provided)
• Supporting the daily operation and maintenance of a successful student-run café
• Preparing, setting up, and packing away for practical lessons
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and equipment care

About You:

• Experience in Food Technology, Catering, or Hospitality is advantageous but not essential
• Friendly, mature, and approachable manner
• Proactive with strong initiative and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and support students in a practical environment
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
