Third in World in Duathlon

Year 12 student Cameron Low is in the top three in duathlon in the world for his age group! Cameron won the bronze medal in the men’s 16-19 years sprint category at the Duathlon World Championships in Adelaide yesterday. He finished the 5km run, 20km cycle and 2.5km run in 57 minutes, 39 seconds, behind two Australian competitors. Cameron is the College and Auckland senior boys cross country champion and placed third in the Auckland secondary school duathlon championships. The College Head of Chemistry, Mrs Gina Boone, placed fifth in the women’s 25-29 years standard division, finishing the 10km run, 40km cycle and 5km run in 2 hours, 21 minutes. Great results, Cameron and Mrs Boone!
