William Reynolds Means Business!

July 28, 2017 at 1:49 PM

Congratulations to Year 13 student and aspiring entrepreneur, William Reynolds who has been selected to attend a Young Enterprise field trip to San Francisco in October. He is one of six secondary students to be selected for the trip.

William was initially selected to attend the Entrepreneurs in Action weekend, hosted by the Young Enterprise Trust as part of their yearlong business programme ‘The Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme.’ Throughout the weekend, the students were mentored by one of the eight host companies as they competed in two high pressure business challenges.

There are currently over 3600 students competing in the scheme this year, which aligns with the NCEA Business Studies curriculum. The programme enables Year 12-13 secondary school students to run their own companies, a practical experience that teaches entrepreneurial skills, team work and builds confidence within the individuals. The Trust is focused on creating a more prosperous New Zealand through enterprise, and works with schools across the country to help students learn about business and entrepreneurship.

William will travel to San Francisco in October for a week to visit some of the world’s most innovative companies. The trip was created to give the students a global perspective on business and introduce them to unlimited career possibilities.

Well done William, we wish you all the best for your trip in October!
