Tramping Club Out and About

IMG_4123.JPGWhile some relish the idea of a quiet weekend in or indulging in a little retail therapy, there is a hardy group of staff and students who like nothing more than to put on their walking boots at the weekend and get out in fresh air, regardless of the weather!

The Tramping Club is having yet another successful year with students enjoying the Sunday tramps in the Waitakere and Hunua Ranges. So far, the trampers have largely been blessed with dry, albeit crisp, weather over the winter months and have enjoyed some beautiful scenery on their walks.

This is an opportunity for students of all ages from Years 8-13 to come together fortnightly on the tramps. For the younger students in particular, this provides great preparation for the Year 10 Field Centre experience. The numbers attending always increase as the good weather approaches and the camaraderie within the group is strong.

Students who are interested in joining the Tramping Club or who would like to try it out one weekend are welcome to come along. More information can be found on OLE.
