It was ‘game on’ in front of the Sports Centre recently when the Nike team visited along with a number of All Whites to promote their new knitted football boot ‘Magista’ ahead of the World Cup in June.

Were the boots game ready? Our College 1st XI footballers were able to trial out the sock-like boots as they competed against one another in small teams on a mini pitch! As more goals were scored and the teams were whittled down to the two finalists, the pumping music drew in the lunchtime crowds.

Accompanying the tour was All White and Old Collegian, Matthew Ridenton who stood by to watch the action and assist on the mini pitch during the afternoon visit.

Before the Nike team headed off, the players ball juggling skills and nerves were called into action as they performed freestyle tricks to a voting crowd – some had practised more than others!
