Manase Latu and Alex Lee have both won places in the NZ Youth Choir for 2014 - 15.

Darryn Ooi has also been chosen as a reserve for the Bass Section so may yet also gain selection.  For the first time in Saint Kentigern history we have students simultaneously in both the NZ Secondary Students Choir (ages 15 - 18) and the NZ Youth Choir (ages 18 - 25). 

The NZ Youth Choir is the country's premier youth choir.  The choir has achieved considerable success both within New Zealand and internationally. In 2010 the choir toured Brisbane, Canberra, and Sydney and continued on to  Singapore, Seoul and Shanghai, where it performed as part of Expo 2010.

In 2013 the choir will depart for a three-week tour of the USA and Canada performing in some of the most prestigious musical centres in the world. The tour begins with the choir joining a group of Southern Californian university ensembles for a major choral/orchestral concert in the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles, then flying on to perform in the three Canadian cities of Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal followed by the Northeast megalopolis US cites of Boston, New York and Washington.
