Cargill Wins Junior Boys’ School Cross Country!

September 17, 2019 at 10:38 AM

It was a great morning yesterday as the Boys’ School Junior students geared up for their annual Cross Country. After postponing the event due to weather conditions earlier in the term, the boys were happy to see the sun shining. Clear blue skies with a slight breeze made it an enjoyable day for the students and brought many supporters to the side lines.

The Year 0-1 boys started the morning with racing 1km. It was great to see the students push themselves with the encouragement of our Senior Prefects who ran the course with them. In the end, it was Jack Stephens who claimed first place in the Year 0 category and Edward Moon for the Year 1s.

The Year 2 boys were up next with their 1.5km course followed by the Year 3 students who also ran the 1.5km course. Austin Watson placed first overall in Year 2 and Hugo Gordon won the Year 3 race.

House points were collected throughout the event which resulted in Cargill placing first, Chalmers second, Hamilton third and Wishart fourth. Well done to all the boys for a great effort and especially to those who took podium spots!
