Rising tennis star, Chris Zhang (Year 8) has been crowned 2014 National 12s Boys Champion at the competition in Christchurch during the summer holidays.

Chris was top seed at the tournament and made a comfortable route to the final in the boys’ field winning in straight sets the entire way.

In the final showdown, Chris challenged the second seed to three set battle. Chris, however, proved too strong in the end, winning 2-6 6-3 6-1 to take out the title.
