Following our exceptional IB results, we are pleased to deliver another set of solid NCEA results. Excluding last year’s Unexpected Event Grades, the 2022 results were among the strongest to date, including our highest Level 1 and Level 3 Excellence Endorsement rates.
A key success indicator is the level of certificate attainment and endorsement that have consistently surpassed the national averages. This means we have a substantial number of students who gained high enough results to be awarded the prestigious
Saint Kentigern Academic Colours and Honours, a testament to student success at the highest academic level.
Our preliminary results, barring completion of final recounts and remarks, are as follows:
NCEA Level 1
At Level 1 (Year 11), 98.35% of all our students gained their NCEA Level 1 certificate. 42.30% earned their certificates with a Merit Endorsement, and an outstanding 45.38% received an Excellence Endorsement.
NCEA Level 2
98.97% of our Level 2 (Year 12) students gained their NCEA Level 2 certificate. Of this, 46.53% achieved Merit Endorsement, while 30.21% attained Excellence Endorsement.
NCEA Level 3
Finally 96.31% of our 2022 leavers gained their NCEA Level 3 (Year 13) certificate. 42.13% gained a Merit Endorsement while 29.36% received Excellence Endorsement.
Our University Entrance success rate for NCEA is 92.21%.
We would like to congratulate students who achieved Excellence Endorsement, and to all who surpassed their own academic personal bests and set goals.
