Congratulations to Year 13 students, Sarah McQueen and Eden Hawkins who have both been awarded University of Otago Academic Excellence Scholarships worth an incredible $30,000 each towards tuition fees, accommodation and living expenses for three years of study. Only 22 of these scholarships were awarded across New Zealand so we are particularly proud that two Saint Kentigern students were recipients.

Both girls are diligent students who fully applied themselves to their schoolwork. Sarah studied NCEA whilst Eden undertook the IB Diploma qualification. They are both planning to study pre-med for their first year of tertiary education next year. Well done girls, we wish you well with the next stage of your studies.

The addition of these two scholarships means that, so far, 26 of our students have been awarded 28 significant tertiary scholarships providing them with financial assistance, in some cases very significant amounts of money, to assist towards their tertiary studies at universities in New Zealand and America.
