About the Role
Saint Kentigern College is seeking casual Reader/Writers to support Enhanced Learning students with Special Assessment Conditions. This is a casual position, with work offered on a flexible basis during school hours. It would suit individuals who are available during the day, including peak assessment periods in September and November. Full training will be provided.
As a Reader/Writer, you'll play an important part in ensuring fair access to assessments.

As a Reader/Writer, you'll play an important part in ensuring fair access to assessments.
You may be asked to:
- Read assessment instructions, questions, and content aloud to students
- Read students' responses back to them
- Write or type as the student dictates their answers
- Supervise students completing assessments in separate rooms
We’re looking for calm, reliable individuals who enjoy supporting young people. Ideally, you will have:
- Strong literacy and communication skills
- A clear, confident reading voice and accurate writing or typing ability
- A calm, patient, and empathetic manner
- The ability to remain neutral and follow assessment protocols
- Good time management and the ability to work independently
- An understanding of confidentiality in a school setting
- Previous experience with students is a bonus, but not essential
