About the role
You will be part of an inclusive, well-resourced team that follows a teaching philosophy centred around student engagement, student agency and achievement for all students.

This role will require you to develop modern teaching and learning practices in Te Reo Māori, and confidently teach Te Reo Māori across various year levels. You will need to demonstrate a willingness to maintain tikanga practices throughout the school environment, and work collaboratively with and assist the Head of Languages with strategic planning and evaluation of our Te Reo Māori Programmes.

About you
  • Must have a good command of Te Reo Māori me ōnā Tikanga
  • Qualified to teach primary students in New Zealand (tertiary qualification in teaching, hold a current practising certificate and teacher registration)
  • Any other qualifications related to Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori an advantage
  • Experience in Māori performing arts/kapa haka an advantage
