An opening has arisen for two Permanent part-time 20 hours per week (school term-time only) within Sports Department for an Athletic Development Coach to join our team.
As an Athletic Development Coach, you will support the long-term athletic development strategy from school years 7-13, while working directly with the Head Athlete Development, Sports Coaches to Lead the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD), rehabilitation and/or general health and wellness programs. Delivering programs in the youth male and female spaces.
Evaluate effectiveness of Athlete Development program and facilitate sport specific strength and conditioning programs with athletes. Supporting the implementation of strategies linking the College to the latest Sports Science techniques and initiatives.
Typical Daily Schedule - 6.00 am – 8.00 am: Support Sports teams and individuals with program delivery + Gym supervision, engage and connect with the Athletes and Sports coaches, Physiotherapist and rehabilitating athletes.
- 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm: Delivering and/or supporting Head of Athletic Development with program delivery + Gym supervision, engage and connect with the Athletes and Head of Sports codes, Physiotherapist and rehabilitating athletes.
Within this time, you would also have to monitor and communicate with SKFC staff and SKC Staff/teachers to Ensure that all health and safety policies are being held to and best practises are being upheld. Staff and student inductions.
Key skills and experiences: - Have practical experience with Athletic Development programs, across sporting codes.
