Good luck to our College Premier Boys Tennis team who leave today to attend the International Schools Federation for Sport Tennis Championships in Recife, Brazil!
After winning the New Zealand National Secondary Schools Boys Tennis title last year, the team automatically qualified to represent New Zealand at the upcoming world tournament. The team, comprising Freddie Cashmore-Chatwin, Liam Stoica, Sam Bird, Sean Kelly and Sam Hodges, has been preparing throughout the summer and the boys are on form, currently sitting at the top of the Auckland Secondary Schools Championships.
The competition has attracted teams representing England, India, Italy, Scotland, South Africa, Germany, Turkey, France, Brazil, Belgium, Chinese Taipei, Australia, Chile and China PR. The Saint Kentigern boys representing New Zealand will begin in Pool A where they will face the teams from England and India.
We wish the boys all the best as they travel and adjust to jetlag before plays gets underway. We will look forward to hearing about your experiences competing at this level!
