Preschoolers Transported Through Time at MOTAT Museum

May 02, 2023 at 3:09 PM

The Saint Kentigern preschoolers had an exciting outing to the Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) on Wednesday, 5 April. The museum's various exhibits took the children's fascination with transportation to the next level as they explored, showcasing transport's evolution from past to present.

From vintage cars and steam engines to planes and trains, the children were in awe of the various modes of transportation on display. The trip was also a fantastic opportunity for the preschoolers to gain a deeper understanding of the different modes of transportation and their significance. The visit complemented the children's classroom learning, where they had been building vehicles using various materials and tools. This experience has allowed them to make connections between their learnings, real-world applications, and the museum exhibit.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication and hard work of the teachers and parent helpers who made the trip happen. Their efforts in organising and chaperoning the preschoolers made the outing a resounding success.
