The Girls’ School gymnasts received some very impressive scores at the Gymnastics Mixed Zone Competition held at Keith Hay Park recently.

A total of 65 Year 3 and 4 girls competed in the event at the Park’s Tri-Star Gymnasium. The girls scores are marked out of 30 and all Year 3 and 4 girls take part to end their Gymnastics Unit in Physical Education.

Congratulations to Year 3 girls Zoe Nel who received 3rd place (26.3), and Mary Stanfield who received 8th place (25.5). The girls will now compete individually at the Champion of Champions in September which is open to the top eight competitors.

Also securing a placement in the Champion of Champions individual event are Year 4 girls Kate Frazer gaining 4th place (26.95), and Eva Coyler at 5th place (26.5).

Year 3 also qualified for the Team Event at the Champion of Champions and we commend the three girl squad Zoe Nel (26.3), Bridget Dennis (25.1) and Millie Thomas (24.9).
