Congratulations to the Year 7 and 8 students who competed in the South Eastern Zone Cross Country Championships held at Saint Kentigern College yesterday.
The best Year 7 and 8 runners from both the Girls’ School and College came away with outstanding results competing against over 100 students from different schools. Girls’ School Year 7 student, Olivia Rooney placed 1st after staying well ahead of the group, with Arya Blackler coming in 2nd. Also, the Year 7 team placed 1st with six Saint Kentigern students in the top 15.
Nieve Webster from the College, placed 1st in the Year 8 race, holding an outstanding lead around the whole course. All three girls have now qualified for the Interzone Cross Country Championships which will be held in September.
Year 7 College student, Maddix Brady also came 4th in the boys’ event and he will join the winning girls at the Interzones. All the best for your next competition!
