The Year 8 girls visited Caughey Preston Home last week where they spent time talking to the residents.
The girls had all brought a photo, or certificate or something of interest to talk about when they sat and talked with the residents.
The residents of Caughey Preston (Principal Dr Sandra Hastie’s Mum is one of them!) were hugely appreciative of the visit. They listened with interest to the girls and reciprocated by telling their own stories with enjoyment.
At the conclusion of the visit the girls decided to do an impromptu song of ‘We are Saint Kentigern Girls’ which was well received with an animated applause from their audience.
As always, the girls were amazing ambassadors of the Girls’ School with their impeccable manners, charming smiles and delightful rapport. The Girls’ School staff were very proud.
Thank you to Reverend Mr Reuben Hardie for coordinating this visit. Dr Hastie’s Mother is still talking about it!
