Girls' School Students Compete in Weetbix TRYathlon

February 25, 2015 at 10:11 AM

This year’s Weetbix TRYathlon was another success for the 17 Girls’ School students who all strived for their personal best in the sold out event. The girls ran, swam and cycled around the beachfront at St Heliers on Sunday last weekend on a typical Kiwi summer's day.

The girls all arrived bright and early in the morning, as keen as beans. All age groups had been training hard in preparation for the event, which included an ocean swim followed by a bike and run lap around the surrounding streets and Vellenoweth Greenreserve. A good mix entered as individuals while others joined up with a friend as a team of two, and all were armed with a super competitive edge!

It was a great atmosphere on the day and each girl managed to transition smoothly between each leg of the race - with no injuries! The girls all received a medal for participating and were very proud of their efforts. Well done girls for giving it a go!
