Congratulations to the combined College and Girls’ School Year 7/8 Futsal team who won the South Eastern Zone tournament. Futsal is a 5-aside version of football on a quarter sized pitch with smaller goals. It is an incredibly fast game that requires great skill and is becoming increasingly popular in NZ. 

In pool play the girls beat Pakuranga Intermediate 10-0, Howick Intermediate 4-0, Bucklands Beach Intermediate 6-0, Somerville Intermediate 8-0 and drew 1-1 with Farm Cove and 0-0 with Redoubt North. They went on to beat Farm Cove 9-0 in the semi-final and carried on their winning streak to beat Bucklands Beach Intermediate 3-0 in the final. Well done girls!
