For my first experience of the fireworks evening I can say I was suitably impressed. A core group of Parents and Friends had spent many months and hours coordinating the evening over a long period of time and as a community we are grateful for their efforts. On Saturday people were busy setting the event up always conscious of the changeable weather predicted. The decision to go ahead was the right one as despite brief intervals of rain during the course of the evening this was certainly forgotten as the fireworks were released.
This was a great family occasion that combined great food, top class entertainment and plenty of things to do to keep younger family members engaged. Many thanks also to all who assisted in the clean-up on Sunday which saw the top field returned to normal in such a short space of time. I am already looking forward to next year where I could be coerced into the “Dunking” contraption….perhaps?
