College fencer Alice Boyd has successfully beaten last year’s champion in the woman’s foil at the Auckland Secondary Schools Championship held in Upper Hutt over the weekend.

Representing the College, Alice went into the competition ranked first and made it through to the finals, winning the woman’s foil at 15-3.

Alice is now the Auckland Secondary Schools woman's foil champion, and this qualifies her to fence in the National Secondary Schools later in the year.
