College Senior A Reached Finals

August 26, 2013 at 11:54 AM

For the first time, the College Senior A Netball team qualified to play in a championship final last weekend. The team had a tough battle up against a strong Mount Albert Grammar team who had gone through the season unbeaten. Even though Mount Albert Grammar proved too good on the day, our girls gave their all and took pride in finishing in second place, having played a first ever finals game for the College at Auckland Senior A Level.

Senior A started the season way back in April with a huge pre-season win over Baradene College which pointed towards a successful season to come. This proved the case as the season started to progress with the team gelling well due to good coaching and instruction provided by Leanne Inkster and Tracey Spence.

Highlights during the season were winning against the King’s College Premier Netball team and also good wins over Auckland Girls Grammar and St Cuthbert’s.

The Senior A team has also been backed up a good showing by the Premier team and the 9A and 10A teams in their respective competitions.
