Mild autumn conditions made for fast racing at the Auckland Duathlon Championship held on the College campus and nearby roads, yesterday. Thirty six of our College duathletes competed and won their share of medals on offer.
Three gold medals were claimed, two of the medals coming from individual titles: Dylan McCullough first in the Junior Boys and Daniel Whitburn first in the Intermediate Boys.
The third gold was in the teams division and was won by Isabella Richards (runner) and Lizzy Mudford (cyclist) in the Senior Girls division.
Bronze medals were claimed by George Ellet in the Intermediate Boys and in the same grade in the team division by Michael Wood (runner) and Tom Lott (cyclist). Cameron Low took the bronze in the Senior Boys Championship.
These Championships mark the end of the local Multi-Sport competitions that began in Term 1.
