Congratulations to Year 8 student Nicholas Kirk from the Boys’ School who has won the Remuera Win with Words writing competition.

Nicholas was named the overall winner at the awards ceremony held at the Remuera Library this week and has been awarded a $150.00 Westpac account.

The adjudicator indicated that Nicholas’ entry, ‘The Unknown People’, was well crafted with exceptional vocabulary.

There was no doubting the high calibre of entries received with the audience hearing excerpts from each of the finalists.

2013 has been a great year for the Boys’ School writers as Nicholas follows in the success of our Year 5 student Carter Tang. Carter wrote a winning entry in the Barfoot & Thompson Young Authors Challenge at the end of Term 2.
