In the second Cross Country event of the season, the Year 1-3 boys competed in their leg of the course across the grounds at the Boys’ School. Conditions were ideal for the morning’s event, the sun making for a dry and straight forward run on the mapped out terrain.
The boys zigzagged across the top field, the tight corners proving a little sharp for some who lost their footing around the bend. The soft track then hardened as the boys climbed the driveway hill and descended amongst the trees of Roselle Lawn to finish up back on the top field.
Unbeaten for the second year running were 1st and 2nd place winners in the Year 1 event, Max Trankels and Scott Nel. In the Year 2 race, James Hiddleston placed 1st once again and in the Year 3 leg, Ethan Knox and Zach Freeland took out 1st and 2nd respectively.
Congratulations to all participants on their stellar effort in another successful Junior Cross Country and House competition.
