We are seeking two exceptional teachers of Physical Education and Health to join our motivated and collegial faculty. These are full-time, fixed-term positions providing parental leave cover, with one role commencing in Term 3 2026 and the second in Term 4 2026.
There is potential for a leadership component for the right candidate.
One of the positions, commencing in Term 4 2026, will have a stronger Outdoor Education focus alongside PE & Health teaching responsibilities.
About the role
The successful applicants will:
- Teach Physical Education and Health across the secondary school, including NCEA Level 3
- Deliver engaging programmes that promote student wellbeing, physical literacy and lifelong participation
- Contribute to Outdoor Education programmes where appropriate
- Work collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced faculty
- Contribute to the wider life of the College, including co-curricular activities
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification and be eligible for teacher registration in New Zealand
- Have the ability to teach PE & Health across the secondary school, including senior levels
- Bring energy, enthusiasm and strong subject knowledge to the classroom
- Have an interest or capability in Outdoor Education
- Be collaborative and enjoy working within a team environment
- Demonstrate alignment with the College’s values and a commitment to holistic education
- Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the College
