Sports Academies
Our programme offers top level coaching and competition play in tennis and golf for students in their chosen sport. An entry criteria is required for those wishing to enrol. This programme is selective, ensuring dedicated coaching and providing pathways for athletes on leaving the college.
Our high performance programmes focus on individual player development, channelling energy towards sporting success while ensuring that balance is achieved within an academic programme.
All national students follow NCEA academic programmes, IB if required, to enable to continue into tertiary education on leaving secondary school.
This wonderful opportunity in both sport and academics allow students to access highly sort after USA sports scholarships. For our international students the NZ academic year runs from the beginning of February each year until graduation in early December. Vacations occur in April (2 weeks), July (3 weeks) and September (2 weeks ).In New Zealand the seasons are reversed from those of the Northern Hemisphere and occur as follows:
