College Scholarships

Applications are invited from students currently in Year 8 at a school in New Zealand. To be considered for a Scholarship, applicants must be New Zealand citizens or hold New Zealand residency.

College Scholarships are awarded from the beginning of Year 9 and are for the duration of the student’s College education subject to annual review and dependent on the student’s positive attitude and commitment to Saint Kentigern endeavours and Values. 

College Scholarships are awarded to students who have achieved highly or exhibited excellence in Academic, Sporting, Performing Arts or Musical endeavours. 

Students applying for a Scholarship, regardless of the category, sit an academic entrance examination or are assessed in their area of expertise. Those applying for a Musical or Performing Arts scholarship will be required to prepare an audition piece.

Senior College Academic Scholarships

Applications for Senior College Academic Scholarships are invited from students currently in Year 10 at a school in New Zealand. To be considered for a a Senior College Academic Scholarship, applicants must be New Zealand citizens or hold New Zealand residency.

Senior College Academic Scholarships are awarded from the beginning of Year 11 and are for the duration of the student’s College education subject to annual review and dependent on the student’s positive attitude and commitment to Saint Kentigern endeavours and Values. 

Senior College Academic Scholarships are awarded to students who have achieved highly or exhibited excellence in Academic endeavours. 

Students applying for a Senior College Academic Scholarship, sit an academic entrance examination.

Old Collegians’ Scholarship

An Old Collegians’ Scholarship is also available to a student with a Saint Kentigern family connection to a former student.

Presbyterian Ministers

Sons and daughters of Ministers of the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand are admitted on special terms.

Bursaries

Bursaries are means tested and are sometimes available for families whose child would otherwise be unable to afford or complete an independent education through hardship or changed circumstances. These are decided on individual circumstances and are awarded at the discretion of the Principals of Middle College and Senior College.
