Since he finished at the College in 2001, Jerome has become one of the world’s best rugby players, starring for Auckland, the Blues, and the All Blacks. The 2011 World Cup winner chose to stage the launch of his book at the College as a tribute to where his path to being an All Black great began.

In August 2013, former student, Steven Carden took up the position as the new Chief Executive of Landcorp. The state owned company is the country's largest farming body, owning or leasing 137 farms and generating a revenue of $250 million.
World Vision Youth Ambassador

In her final year at College, Letitia Puni was selected as a Youth Ambassador for World Vision. Earlier this year, she travelled to Malawi to see the work that World Vision undertakes – it’s all about a ‘hand up not a handout.

Former student of both the Boys’ School and the College, Joe has been involved in sailing since a young age. One of his earliest memories is sailing Optimist dinghies off Kohimarama Beach and by the age of nine or ten he was racing comppetitively and has not stopped since.

Tavake Fusimalohi entered Saint Kentigern College in 2006 and graduated in 2008. He made his mark during his time at the College as both a stalwart of the 1st XV rugby team and for his leadership at Bruce House, providing a good role model for the younger boarders.
Voluntary Service at the Elephant Sanctuary

Just outside the city of Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand, surrounded by mountains covered in native rainforest, sits an elephant oasis. It is a refuge for domestic Asian elephants that have been rescued from abusive employment in the tourism industry.
Creative New Zealand Arts Pasifika Award

Old Collegian Manase Latu was surprised and thrilled to hear he had been awarded a 2015 Creative New Zealand Arts Pasifika Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Pacific arts. A talented tenor, Manase received the 2015 Iosefa Enari Memorial Award. Named after the late Samoan opera singer who was at the forefront of Pacific opera, the $4,000 award recognises exceptional Pacific singers from classical genres.
Leading role in Phantom of the Opera

Rory was no stranger to the stage during his time at College, an interest he has continued since graduating. Since returning to New Zealand earlier this year after 8 months living in the Netherlands, he is currently juggling his acting commitments whilst working as a lawyer at the commercial law firm Bell Gully.
New Zealand Fencing Team

Alice Boyd represented the College in fencing for seven years, and captained the squad for three of those, becoming the first girl to hold that position. She won the Auckland secondary school and U20 titles in her final two years and represented New Zealand at age group level. Here she reports on her experience as part of the 90-strong NZ team at the World University Games.
Dentristry success

Since graduating from the College in 2004, Dr Albert Yen has made rapid progress in his dentistry career. Albert started at Saint Kentigern in Year 9 and went on to excel in the academic and sporting fields.
New Zealand Diamondblacks

Andrew Marck graduated from the College in 2009 and has gone on to achieve success in his chosen sport of baseball as well as in business. Andrew had already represented the New Zealand Men’s Baseball Team while at the College and has been a pivotal member ever since, as a starting pitcher.
His baseball talent has taken him around the world, to play in Canada, the USA, Australia and in the World Baseball Classic in Taipei. He has won a number of New Zealand club championships with the Howick Pakuranga Hawks and been named most valuable player of the tournament.
Outstanding Achievement in Design Award

After finishing at the College in 2006, Sarah went on to study a Bachelor of Engineering honours degree at the University of Auckland, majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering. During her studies, she was lucky enough to undertake her work experience for Fletcher Construction, where she worked on the Eastport Golden Bay Cement buildings project in Quay Street, as well as the Victoria Park Tunnel project. She found this experience invaluable in providing her with a good basis of construction knowledge and general building site practice.
Professional Actor

The 2014 Deputy Head Boy, Lloyd David excelled on the stage during his time at the College, with lead roles in The Crucible, Blood Brothers and Othello. Since his graduation, he has followed his passion for acting, working with professional group Massive Theatre Company.

Former 1st XV Head Coach, Tai Lavea has stepped down and his identical twin brother, Tasesa, has taken up the coaching role! Tai and Tasesa are both proud Old Collegians.
Commonwealth Gold Medallist

Having graduated from College only last year, young rugby sensation, Etene Nanai-Seturo, has certainly made an early mark in the world of professional rugby. The subject of a cross-code dispute between New Zealand Rugby and the New Zealand Warriors, he eventually signed with New Zealand Rugby after being released from his contract with the Warriors.

Tall Fern, Jordan Hunter, won a team bronze medal with the New Zealand Women’s Basketball team at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Mechanical Design Engineer

Jamie completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and is now working for the Rocket Lab.
‘Dr Drama’

Dr Wenley graduated from Saint Kentigern as the joint College Dux in 2006. He is a Professional Teaching Fellow in English, Drama & Writing Studies and has completed a PhD at The University of Auckland. James hopes to make a significant contribution to the understanding of New Zealand theatre.
Quantity Surveyor

Shae completed a Bachelor of Construction, majoring in Quantity Surveying at Massey University, a three-year degree course incorporating construction, general commerce and business management aspects to Quantity Surveying.
Dentist

Terri graduated from the College on 2009 and holds a Bachelor of Dental Service from The University of Queensland. He is currently the Principal Dentist in Australia Dental Burpengary and his main goal is to help promote and improve the oral health of people within the community.
World Sailing Title

Recent Old Collegian, Crystal Sun proved herself to be a strong sailor during her College years. She and her sailing partner, Olivia Hobbs, were selected for the New Zealand Sailing Foundation Youth Team to compete in the women's skiff class (29er) at the Youth World Championships in Sanya, China in December.
Christian Missionary

For the past 35 years his church has supported a ministry called ‘Lifeline Ministries Southern Africa’ and he has visited mainly Zimbabwe and Mozambique on 27 extended trips – teaching, training, pastoring leaders.
Competitive Cyclist

A love of the speed of cycling channelled his energy in that direction in Year 9. Multiple success followed during the next five years while at the College, including competing in the UCI World Championship in Richmond, Virginia.
Professional Percussionist
June 2019
After graduating from Saint Kentigern College in 2012, Sam decided to pursue his Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance at Auckland University. He’s performed with the Auckland Philharmonia and was accepted into the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. In March 2019 he returned to New Zealand for a trial with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.
