Saint Kentigern | Preschool History

Saint Kentigern has a long and proud history of educating young people to achieve at the highest standard.

Saint Kentigern Preschool opened in Remuera Rd at the beginning of 2011 as a natural extension to the Saint Kentigern family, completing an educational pathway that begins with preschool, continues on to primary school at the Girls’ School or at the Boys’ School in Shore Road, Remuera and finishes with students being prepared for university entrance at Saint Kentigern College in Pakuranga.

To provide a complete educational pathway for families, work began on a purpose-built Preschool on the Girls’ School campus in Remuera Road and opened at the start of the 2011 academic year. The Right Honourable Sir John Key, the 38th Prime Minister of New Zealand officially opened our Preschool on Remuera Road in March 2012.

The Girls' School and Preschool subsequently moved to Saint Kentigern's Shore Road Campus in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
