OVERVIEW

Our Mission Statement, and its challenge for us to 'inspire students to strive for excellence', is the focus for our curriculum.

Each boy is encouraged to participate to the very best of his ability across the broad range of academic, practical, physical and cultural pursuits offered in the classrooms and on the playing fields.

Specialist teachers in Art, Music, Technology, Information Communication Technology, Physical Education, Second Languages and Science offer additional expertise to develop the talents of all the boys in our care. Students are exposed to a wide range of assessment tasks including formal tests and are well prepared to command advantageous places in New Zealand's top secondary schools.

The educational requirements detailed in the New Zealand Curriculum provide the basis for our teaching and learning in seven of the eight Learning Areas provided at the School:

These seven Learning Areas are supplemented by an eighth Learning Area, our own programme of:
