Large paintings, detailed pen work, clever collage and 3D installations…the Jack Paine Centre was a hive of activity over the weekend as keen art students took on the Parent and Friends 15 Hour Art Competition.
The theme, ‘Something Novel’ was open to interpretation and led to some really creative thinking by students from all year levels. They could elect work alone, in pairs or as a group of three and were given the task to produce an original piece of artwork. All work was required to be completed in the College art studios, only during the allotted time over the course of the weekend. This led to some fevered activity, especially as the cut-off time loomed!
The finished work will go on display shortly for the Parents and Friends team to deliberate and announce the winners.
